Customizing 360° feedback in Greek
From Competency Architecture to Delivering Feedback

The Need

The Greek subsidiary of a multinational pharmaceutical company wanted to implement a 360° feedback process to assess the development needs of its Sales and Area Managers. The organization had developed its own competency model for the specific levels of responsibility, according to which the feedback tool would be customized. The outcomes in question were an individual report and provision of feedback so that a development plan would be formulated for each participant. The whole process would have to be conducted in Greek.

The Solution

HRP joined forces with the company to create two custom 360? feedback online  tools, one for each level of responsibility. It soon became clear that in order to map the client’s model to the  standards, it would have to be translated into a specific number of observable behaviors. For this, a series of different actions was taken: first, interviewing Sales and Area managers to identify core qualities; second, comparing the client’s model with different Sales models, including customized for the company in different countries. The suggested Greek model was then approved and further refined by different stakeholders and levels of responsibility.

Results

 

The 360° feedback process was completed noting very high rates of participation.
Feedback and coaching was delivered on individual and group level, including subgroups from different geographical areas of Greece. The development suggestions of the reports allowed the HR Department to plan training focusing on specific areas. Results of the development process would then be measured again with the use of the two custom 360°  tools.
